You need many vertical striped candies, and maybe combinations to release the UFOs. Notice that candies spawn at the location of UFOs once they are activated. If you have already released one, watch the color of new candy and make a color bomb + striped candy combination of that color, to release other UFOs while bypassing nasty swirls.
The four UFOs can provide 12 wrapped candies so the player needs to make an additional 3 wrapped candies to complete the level. Liquorice swirls are blocking the four UFOs, and a new swirl spawns every 4 moves. The order is worth 15,000 points. Hence, an additional 35,000 points is required to earn one star.
