At first, remove liquorice swirls and icings (especially at the 5th column where the ingredient cannon and exit on it). Combine striped candy + wrapped candy or striped candy + color bomb to bring the ingredients down faster. When the bombs are about to spawn, make them fall down as far as possible.
Multilayered icing squares with thick layers block the ingredient exit and reduce playable spaces at the start. There is only one ingredient exit where the column with ingredient candy cannon. So, if one of the cherries gets moved from the centre column, it is almost impossible to get it back to the exit. Candy bombs spawn at such a location that they have higher chance of moving through the portal and appearing at the lower board, making them very hard to deal with. The ingredients are worth 40,000 points, which is equal to the one star target score.
