Do everything to open at least one of the exits in the middle. Then try to make ingredients slide into that exit. The outer exits act more like a safe device than main target, as you must move the ingredients horizontally and the player has to switch the ingredient twice to drop it to those exits.
All ingredient exits in the middle are covered by five-layered icing. There are two more exits outside the icing. The ingredients are worth 40,000 points. Hence, an additional 10,000 points is required to earn one star.
