Create color bombs yourself, and combine them to collect combinations. Just focus on the combination order, and other color bombs will come to you. Use the spare color bombs carefully, to align two together, or to defuse some bombs. When the bombs are getting low, a color bomb and striped candy combination will usually clear them all.
Candy bombs will continue raining from the candy cannon even if the initial ones are cleared. Both color bomb + color bomb combinations must be performed manually. Even though there are already two starting color bombs in marmalade, it is arranged such that it is impossible to create another color bomb directly adjacent to it through matches. The player must create one combination every twelve moves. An additional four color bombs have to be created even after the color bomb + color bomb combinations are completed. The orders are worth 18,000 points. Hence, an additional 182,000 points is required to earn one star.
