First, remove some of the multilayered icing, but not too much so that marmalade will not flood. Then, work to the centre magic mixer. Do any possible match. You will need a lot of cascade luck.
You are given barely any board space at the start of the level. The spawning of marmalade from the magic mixers is very aggressive, spawning four marmalade squares every two moves. If this wasn’t bad enough, the marmalade will land on liquorice swirls making it even harder to open up the board. Due to the sheer number of blockers, plus the marmalade created by the mixers, you are probably not going to be able to destroy the mixers on the majority of your attempts. This leads to them spawning seemingly limitless marmalade, making this level even harder. 35 moves may not be enough to collect 150 candies. The orders are worth 15,000 points. Hence, an additional 30,000 points is required to earn one star.
