The biggest priority is getting to the candy bomb in 16 moves before it detonates. The sugar keys are stuck on the exteriors of the board, but that is the only way to unlock the sugar chests. Afterwards, candies will start spilling over to the remainders of the board. Then, unwrap the extra time candies in marmalade to make up for the lost time. Candy bombs will start spawning frequently, but not in a rate that will flood the board. Use these to your advantage to boost up your score. It possible that a lucky color bomb and candy bomb combination will pull you above the one star target score.
The bottom half of the board is inaccessible until the player either unravels the five-layered sugar chest or kills the marmalade. Candy bombs will spawn from the candy cannons, which will provide the main source of points. The player is required to earn at least 1,500 points per second.
