Strategy: Avoid freeing liquorice locks but if this happens, control the chocolate to prevent it from covering the whole board but do not waste moves clearing them all since you only have 21 moves. Also, avoid ingredients from falling to the sides as it may be hard to clear all chocolate in 21 moves. As usual, vertical striped candy help bring down the ingredients directly. There are only five colors so making horizontal striped candy; also making color bombs is easy, these free the liquorice locks which you do not want. Making vertical striped candy which you want is harder due to the narrow board.
There are only 21 moves for the player to bring all 5 ingredients down to the bottom, which can be very difficult to accomplish. There are 2 full rows of chocolate at the left and right most edge, but luckily they are blocked from the candies by the liquorice locks. 1The locked candies are actually an asset here in this level. They prevent the chocolate from replicating. Since locked candies aren’t destroyed by adjacent matches, you can form many 3-candy combinations without unlocking the candies and still begin to bring down ingredients. Eventually, you might unlock some of the licorice X’s and that’s ok–just keep an eye on the chocolate!.
2Because this board is slightly narrow, it will be harder to form the vertical striped candies but they are the easiest way to drop an ingredient in an ingredient level. Horizontal striped candies are also useful for moving ingredients down but they are much less effective and you only have 21 moves!.
3If you don’t control the replication of the chocolate, it can start to build up at the top of the board. If you let the chocolate get too out of control and it blocks the entire top portion, new candies will not be able to drop down. To clear chocolate, either make matches adjacent to the blocker or use any special candy.
