As with other four-colored levels, it is often a good idea to set off a color bomb immediately against a suitable plain color candy, rather than wait for a combination. Doing this increases your chances of creating more special candies, including more color bombs. For a higher score, detonate a color bomb against a color matching a candy bomb that has already been freed from its liquorice lock.
The presence of only four colors makes it easy to create special candies. There is a double jelly on every square on the board. The 20-move candy bombs are hard to reach because they are under liquorice locks and because of the shape of the board. The jellies are worth 138,000 points. Hence, an additional 162,000 points is required to earn one star.
